Doula Care Payment Options

Since babies arrive on their own schedule and Care for Mom services are offered on a first come, first served basis, it’s a good idea to call for a complimentary in home consultation early in your pregnancy. During that visit we can discuss your needs and formulate a plan for meeting them; this gives you the opportunity to get to know me and to ask questions about doula care. The visit also gives me the chance to meet all members of your family, including your pets.

We will go over all of your questions regarding my services and fees. I require a non-refundable deposit of 20% of your anticipated services to reserve your space. Any additional pre-natal appointments that you would like to schedule (before the contracted time for antepartum or postpartum doula services to begin) are $45 each.

Labor support services are $550 and should be paid in full by your 38th week of pregnancy. Labor packages include two in home visits prior to birth.

Antepartum and Postpartum Service Agreements are flexible and may vary in length depending on your circumstances. Several different packages are available. Your spot on the calendar is not reserved until the deposit is paid. The deposit will be applied toward services used. When your baby or babies arrive, commitment to a weekly schedule for your postpartum care is greatly appreciated.

After you make a service agreement, telephone, email, and video consultations are part of your service. This mean I am available to you to answer questions, offer a friendly ear, and shower you with encouragement even when it’s not convenient to meet in person.

I’m available for in home care on an hourly basis. I have a daily minimum of 3 hours and maximum of 8 hours (exceptions can be made). I can start when you and your baby arrive home from the hospital, but can also provide services starting later if family will be helping you the first week. I’m generally off evenings and weekends, but will make exceptions for special circumstances.

Additional days can be added to your agreement, providing I have available time open. You will be billed for any additional time requested.

Doula Care Payment Options:

I accept cash, personal checks, and Pay Pal. If you have special financial needs please speak to me about them and we can try to work out a plan to assist your family. I’m also open to barter/trade. My overnight shifts are $135 for 8 hours.

Baby Planning and/or Postpartum Consultations Payment Options:

I accept cash, personal checks, or Pay Pal. My fee is $45 for up to a 1.5 hour session.

Flexible Spending Accounts:

Doula services qualify to be used as pre-tax dollars through many employer’s benefits policies. Please inquire within the human resources department of your company to see if this applies to you. This can mean quite a bit of savings on the cost of doula care if your company has this kind of flexible spending account.

Gift Certificates:

Are available, please inquire about this when you call. They make great shower gifts or baby presents.

Insurance Companies:

I am a Certified Postpartum Doula. I have officially obtained a NPI (National Provider Identifier). This will enable you to file a claim with your insurance company for reimbursement of postpartum doula care. It does not guarantee coverage, but it will let the companies know that families are desiring this kind of reimbursement. Please ask me for more details and I will provide you with the necessary forms when appropriate.
