Rebecca Christy believes women who direct their own birth experiences are more likely to have positive birth experiences – and she can help them accomplish both.
“No matter the type of birth, a doula can help you and your partner be actively involved in the decision-making process,” she said. “Birth should be something that you do, not something that happens to you.”
Rebecca received her training through DONA International, a worldwide doula association. She works with Care for Mom on an on-call basis, providing consistent, quality backup care in the rare cases when an emergency prevents a primary doula from being with her client.
Rebecca and her husband have four children.
